If you are using two HID you will have charging problems, it is to much for this bike, I have just one HID, I had a Cap but I removed time ago, no need it, I have used for more than two hours the light ON without any issue, I have a Led voltmeter installed to check the voltage all the time just in case... A friend with a Vstrom toll me that when he use the bike for maybe two hours with the HIDs on the battery lost charge, the Vstrom had two bulbs or two HID. he remove the HID and put bulbs back.

Really? No extra battery? I am using two hid and I need to recharge battery every 4 months. How long have you used those lights? Are you sure you didn't used any capacitor or something? Do you set directly the lights to the original wires of the motorcycle or did you use an extra capacitor to adapt it?
